Float switch is a simple device that is used to detect the level of liquid in a tank and control an external component, such as a pump, valve, alarm or other device. As the name suggests, the switch floats on top of the liquid and typically uses an electrical microswitch to control the component as the liquid level rises and falls to a pre-set level.
