Medium: Acrylic — pigment suspended in an acrylic polymer emulsion. When wet, it’s water-based; when dry, it becomes water-resistant.
• Pigment: Metallic / pearlescent gold pigment (mica, bronze powder, or other metallic particles) that gives the metallic sheen.
• Viscosity / Texture: Creamy / buttery consistency. Dense enough to provide good coverage, but workable with a brush or palette knife.
• Finish: Metallic or semi-matte sheen, depending on the formulation.
• Opacity / Coverage: Usually moderate to good. Metallic paints sometimes require two thin coats to achieve a uniform effect.
• Drying Time: Fairly fast (minutes to tens of minutes, depending on thickness and ambient conditions).
