A CNC Breakout Board is a device that connects the CNC controller to motors and sensors, organizing and protecting electrical signals for easier and safer machine wiring
Axes supported: 4 to 6 stepper or servo axes
Input signals: 4 to 5 inputs for limit switches, emergency stop, probe, etc.
Output signals: Step and direction signals for motors, relay outputs for spindle and accessories
Signal isolation: Optocouplers/isolation to protect controller and reduce noise
Power input: 12-24V DC external supply or USB powered (with separate isolated power rail)
Control interface: Parallel port (DB25) or USB with corresponding drivers/software
Software compatible: MACH3, Linux CNC (EMC2), KCAM4, etc.
Dimensions: Typically around 90 x 70 x 20 mm
