Paint Advisor

1.      Customer Consultation & Needs Assessment o   Recommend appropriate paint systems (primer, base coat, top coat) for industrial, commercial, or residential applications. 2.      Product Recommendation & Technical Guidance o   Advise on suitable paint types (water-based, solvent-based, epoxy, PU, acrylic, alkyd, etc.). o   Provide guidance on color selection, gloss level, coverage, drying time, and finish quality. 3.      Surface Preparation & Application Advice o   Recommend correct surface preparation methods (cleaning, sanding, blasting, priming). o   Advise on proper application techniques (brush, roller, spray) and environmental conditions (temperature, humidity). 4.      Product Knowledge & Training o   Stay updated on new paint technologies, formulations, and industry standards. o   Train customers, applicators, or sales teams on product use and best practices.

1. Technical & Product Knowledge ·        Strong knowledge of paint types and coating systems (water-based, solvent-based, epoxy, PU, acrylic, alkyd, etc.) ·        Understanding of surface preparation methods and application techniques ·        Ability to interpret Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) ·        Knowledge of paint performance properties (adhesion, opacity, durability, drying time, corrosion resistance) ·        Basic understanding of color theory and tinting systems 2. Quality & Problem-Solving Skills ·        Ability to identify paint defects and failures (peeling, blistering, cracking, chalking, color mismatch) ·        Analytical skills to diagnose root causes and recommend corrective actions ·        Attention to detail in product selection, mixing, and application advice ·        Basic quality control and inspection skills
