Screw the filter on more than 2/3 of a turn after the gasket makes contact.
Tightening torque should be 15\text{--}21\text{ N}\cdot\text{m} (1.5\text{--}2.1\text{ kgf}\cdot\text{m}).
Run the engine and check for leaks.
