Star of Victory medal from 1941.
It was instituted by Emperor Haile Selassie I to recognize service during the Italian occupation from 1935-1941.
The inscription in Amharic on the face reads "Star of Victory 1933 [Ethiopian calendar]. Unforgettable Achievement".
It was made by Mappin & Webb of London.
The medal was awarded in two versions: International Engagements for military personnel and Domestic Engagements for auxiliary staff.
