A PICS (Purdue Improved Crop Storage) bag with a 100kg capacity is a chemical-free, airtight, triple-layer hermetic storage bag designed to protect grains and legumes from insects, mold, and rodents. [1, 2, 3] Key Features & Design Triple-Layer Protection: Consists of two heavy-duty inner polythene (HDPE/LDPE) liners and a tough outer woven polypropylene bag. Airtight (Hermetic): Cuts off oxygen supply inside the bag, which kills or stops insects from reproducing without needing chemical pesticides. Capacity: Holds up to 100 kg of dry crops like maize, beans, coffee, rice, sorghum, wheat, and cowpeas. Reusability: Can be reused for 2 to 3 years (or seasons) if handled carefully without punctures.
